MAAR Story

MAAR is the creation of Designer Margarita Tlacuilo, born and raised in the Dominican Republic. Graduated first from Instituto Tecnológico Mercy Jaquez and later on from Altos de Chavón School of Design affiliated with Parsons School of Design in New York where she acquired overtime the skills and talents that provide the underpinnings of her fashion vision. 

Arriving in New York City in 1995 with a dream of fashion in mind, Margarita set out to make her name known in an industry she had spent her childhood admiring. Her brand was named after her family members' initials, and her collections are synonymous with elegance and sophistication. 

MAAR aims to use delicate fabrics to create timeless and sophisticated designs. Our mission is to provide women with an effortless wardrobe assembled with pieces that not only fit their body types but also their busy lifestyles; pieces that make them feel empowered and ready to accomplish their goals.
